Bridget Long
Bridget Long is an active freelance performer, oboe instructor, and professional reedmaker in the greater Seattle area. She maintains a private oboe studio in Kirkland, serves on the oboe and piano faculty at Music Works Northwest, and operates an independent oboe reed business serving students and performers throughout the Pacific Northwest. Passionate about cultivating artistry in young musicians, Bridget also enjoys adjudicating for solo and ensemble festivals at the regional and state levels. Bridget has performed with numerous ensembles throughout the region, including Symphony Tacoma, Olympia Symphony, NOCCO, Sound Ensemble, Bellevue Symphony, and has also appeared at the Opera Maya Festival and Ohio Light Opera.
In addition to performing and teaching, Bridget is a cofounder of PRSM, an audiovisual production company and art collective. She is particularly interested in collaborative and interdisciplinary performance projects.
Bridget holds degrees in Oboe Performance from the Boston Conservatory and the University of Washington School of Music.
